How to Add Hyper-V Manager to Windows Server 2016?
Login to Windows Server 2016 and Open Server Manager. Click on “Add roles and features”
Select Role-based or Feature-based installation to configure a single server by adding roles, role services and features. Click on Next to continue.
Select a server from the server pool and select the local server or remote server to install the Hyper-V Manager role and click on Next.
Under Server Features, Select Remote Administration tools ->Role Administration Tools -> Hyper-V Management Tools. Ensure both Hyper-V GUI Management Tools and Hyper-V module for windows Powershell is selected. Click on Next.
Review the selected features to get install and Click on Install to start the installation.
Once the Hyper-V Manager feature is completed. Click on Close to close the installation wizard. Since it is just administrative tools installation, you no need to reboot your server for the configuration changes to take effect.
Under Administrative tools, Click on Hyper-V Manger to open Hyper-V management tool.
Right-Click on Hyper-V Mgr and Select “Connect to Server” to connect the local or remote Hyper-V Server.
Enter the remote Hyper-V server computer name or IP address and click on Ok to manage the server remotely.
That’s it. You will be able to manage the remote Hyper-V Server from your Hyper-V Manager management console.
